The future looks bright!

EDLA has turned 6! Happy Birthday to us.

We are proud of what we have achieved in this time, and how the business has evolved, from Eleanor first setting up in a co-working space six years ago with her laptop. We are now a team of 8, and growth has been steady over the six years, as maintaining quality and relationships is of utmost importance to us.

Here is a snapshot of projects we have been working on over the past couple of months:

– Detailed design for Newtown Works, a regen project in Ashford that has Levelling Up funding from central government, with Quinn Estates, Clague Architects, Ashford Borough Council, and a large design team.
– Significant new self-build schemes in the UK with our imaginative and forward-thinking Client Steenvlinder UK
– A former hospital site in rural Kent (Benenden), working on the landscape design of a residential scheme in a sensitive landscape, with complex level constraints with Esquire Developments who highly value the landscape setting and places they create for their residents. Another project we have been working with them closely is Ford Road, Arundel, a beautiful site, through which is a line of impressive veteran oaks (retained of course).
– The Community Centre at Ebbsfleet, working through Stage 4 detailed design with a strong team of consultants led by AFL, working with our clients Redrow and the Ebbsfleet Development Corporation.
– Attending DRPs and meetings for Para 80 homes that we are working on, where our landscape concepts are frequently praised and our landscape planning advice appreciated and instilled from the start in schemes, with architects including Hawkes Architecture Ltd and Squire and Partners and planning consultants including DHA Planning Group
-The Sea Haven wave project at Betteshanger Country Park, awaiting a planning decision, with visionary clients Jim Storey and Simon Hagger and architects Hollaway Studio.

Here’s to the last six years, our team, our clients, and co-consultants. Together we are creating spaces that connect people to nature. Onwards!
