Love Lane, Faversham

Love Lane is a hybrid scheme, which forms part of a wider strategic allocation within the borough of Swale, comprising residential development, employment, a nursery and care home on an allocated site. Our input comprised landscape advice and landscape design, working closely with the ecological team to achieve Biodiversity Net Gain within the site, whilst also providing functional open space for residents and play.

Sensitivities within the site from a landscape perspective included longer distance views to the nearby church tower of St Mary’s, views northwards to the Thames Estuary, a public right of way which crosses through the site, and undulating levels. The designed interface with other new development locally was also another important consideration through the evolution of the scheme.
